Professor Collins Ntim becomes Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences
Many congratulations to Collins Ntim, Professor of Accounting in the University of Southampton Business School, who has been elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Fellows are elected for their excellence in research and professional applications of social science, and for their significant contributions beyond academia, including in industry, policy and higher education.
Collins is known nationally and internationally for his research in accounting, accountability, finance, governance, development and sustainability.
He is the current President of the British Accounting and Finance Association. He also led the development of Ghana’s National Corporate Governance Code in collaboration with the Institute of Directors-Ghana and other major national and international stakeholders, as well as giving oral evidence to the Public Accounts Committee of the UK Parliament. In September 2025 he was re-appointed to serve on UK REF 2029 Sub-Panel 17: Business and Management Studies.
As well as being widely published in leading international journals, his work has featured frequently in popular media channels, including Sky, BBC 5Live radio and financial press such as the Financial Times.
Collins has presented his research at a large number of top national and international conferences and has taught modules to undergraduate, postgraduate and professional accounting and finance students.
During his career Collins has received many awards and in 2025 was recognised in the Top 1% global scientists rankings for economics and finance inclusion, and for business and management inclusion.
